Borough Organizations

Paxtang is home to a number of non-profit civic organizations that play an important role in making Paxtang a great place to call home.

Paxtang Historical Society

Paxtang Art Association

The purpose of the Paxtang Historical Society is to preserve the history of Paxtang Borough for future generations through collecting, storing, and preserving artifacts and oral history; providing educational opportunities; and promoting historical advocacy.

Paxtang Art Association members are artists ages 8 to 80+ living in the Susquehanna Valley.  We draw and create collages, landscapes, portraits and still life originals works of art in mixed mediums such as watercolors, acrylics,  oils, pastels, colored pencils, dirt, and wine.

You are not required to be a resident of Lenker Manor or Paxtang.

We meet on the second Wednesday of each month in Fellowship Hall of the Paxton Presbyterian Church at 10 am. We do not meet during June, July, and August. Each meeting begins at 10 am with brunch, our business meeting, and then a program. April is a closed meeting for members only business.

The Paxtang Lions stand ready and able to serve the local community through the efforts of our club members and with the help of many sponsors and individual donors.

We meet the 2nd & 4th Thursday, 6:30 PM at the Paxton Presbyterian Church, 3500 Sharon Street Harrisburg, PA. During the summer months we meet outdoors at the Paxtang Borough Saussman Park Pavilion (Simpson and Paxtang Avenue).
