Paxtang Borough Police Coverage

On December 16th, 2014, Borough Council unanimously approved an intergovernmental agreement with Swatara Township to provide Police coverage for the Borough beginning January 1st, 2015. 


Effective January 1st, 2015, Police coverage for the Borough of Paxtang will be provided by Swatara Township Police Department. This landmark agreement enables the Borough to continue to provide best-in-class Police coverage by a fully accredited Police force 24 hours a day.

  • If I am in need of Police Services whom do I call?

    • IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY please continue to dial 911.

    • Non-Emergency Calls should be directed to Swatara Township Police at 717-564-2550 8am-4: 30 pm Monday - Friday. Non-Emergency calls received outside of business hours are automatically routed through the Dauphin County Communications Center. The direct dial number for the Dauphin County Call Center is 717-558-6900.
