Full/Part Time Employment Opportunities:
 

This part-time Borough Treasurer position (on site, avg. 12-15 hours per week, divided over 2 - 3 days during business hours) will be responsible for working with the contracted accountant and the borough manager, to oversee the various borough funds, communicate with vendors, process billing, prepare bank transactions, manage data, assist with various financial related reports and analysis, in addition to provide support in grant applications and grant management. 
Pay Range:  $17.50-$21.00 per hour.

General Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteers needed for weeding of the Community Native Plant "Grunden Garden",  in the Paxtang Commons (between Park Terrace and City Line Diner) from May - September.  Contact Keldeen Stambaugh, for more information.  

"Painting of the Fishes", an early summer Saturday morning (date to be announced) group activity, where volunteers gather to stencil fish next to the Stormwater drains to educate the community and create awareness of no dumping, this drain is for stormwater ONLY.  

Mulch spreading in the playgrounds.  Typically done in June. 

Substitute Crossing Guards 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. and/or  3:30 - 4:00 p.m. on school days from September - May (Central Dauphin School District).

Recreation Board (1 year term)

2 Vacancies

The Recreation Board oversees recreational athletic activities in the Borough. The Board meets on an as-needed basis throughout the year.

Shade Tree Volunteer

Active primarily March - October

Assist the Shade Tree Commission in the maintenance and care of Paxtang's Urban Forest. Volunteers maintain a detailed inventory of all of the Borough's shade trees and do routine care and trimming to ensure the long term health and well-being of the trees and the safety of Borough residents. Participate in one of our scheduled work days. 

July 4th Parade Committee Volunteer

Active March - July 

Assist with planning and execution of the Borough's annual 4th of July festivities. Help plan the annual parade, home decorating contest, and other events to help us celebrate our Nation's birthday!
