--Parking Vehicles and Traffic Ordinance Amendment
(this ordinance includes parking, signs, and streets)
NEW TRASH SERVICE will begin THURSDAY, February 4, 2021
Waste Management will collect their Waste Management containers either the last week of January or the first week of February. We will advise closer to the transition. The last week to use their trash and recycle containers is for pick up on Wednesday, January 27th.
Each Property Owner should have received a letter and submitted their requested Trash Container size(s). Additionally, an automated phone call was sent as a reminder. If you haven't submitted your request for a specific size container, you will receive the Standard Size (same as the current container).
As the letter states, service by Harrisburg will begin on Thursday, February 4, 2021. All Recycling toters/carts will be standard 65 gallons (which is the size of our current "trash containers"). You will still be permitted to place out one large item a week as under our current contract.
Please note, generally speaking, the trash that is not in a "Paxtang Borough" Container will not be picked up. You will have the option to purchase additional Paxtang Borough Trash Containers at a discounted price.
The Borough Office is currently open for physical visits during business hours, and the office staff is also available during business hours for phone calls
717-564-4770 and emails (through www.Paxtang.org).
If you feel sick (cough, fever and/or shortness of breath), we request that you do not enter the building.
Rentals for the Pavilion have resumed, but rentals of the Gym are temporarily suspended, please contact the Borough Secretary for details.
